DPS Advice For Each WoW Class

There's a lot to know and a lot to say about each World of Warcraft class when it comes to DPS. However, a post like that would be too way too long for anyone to read. So, here's a more condensed post, with one really useful DPS tip for each class.

Rogue. To maintain your high DPS in a raid or in an dungeon, you have to make sure you keep your Slice and Dice up all the time. Whenever your S&D drops, your DPS will also drop considerably. Slice and Dice Should be your first Combo Points dump ability for your rotation.

Mage. The Mage is a pure DPS class. No matter what spec you choose, you're still going to be a damage dealer. However, if you want to deal insane amounts of damage in instances, go with a fire spec. To score a high DPS as a Fire Mage, you should get the most of the Pyroblast procs, via Combustion, Inferno Blast and Heating up.

Hunter. No matter what you do, as a Hunter you have to keep up your Serpent Sting on the target the whole time. This is easily done on the Marksmanship spec, because Chimera Shot (9 sec. cooldown) refreshes the Serpent Sting (15 sec. duration) effect on the target.

Warlock. Affliction is one of the best DPS specs for a Warlock. And on this spec, you will do tons of damage with your Agony, Corruption, Curse of Elements and Unstable Affliction. Of course, maintaining these on your target(s) at all time is vital. Also, to maximize your DPS, it's important to refresh your dots on the target(s) when you get damage boost procs from your trinkets, weapon enchantments or when you burn a dmg boost cooldown.

Priest. Evidently, to be a good damage dealer as a Priest, you should go with the Shadow specialization. To score a high DPS as a Shadow Priest, you must properly manage your Shadow Orbs. Keep 3 Shadow Orbs up as much as possible, and make your top priority the use of Devouring Plague when you have 3 orbs up.

Shaman. I've always liked to play Enhancemet with my Shaman, and even though you should swap totems depending on situation, your main one for DPS in PvE should be Searing Totem. Also, keep your Flame Shock DoT at all time, on your main target.

Monk. The main specialization for Monks to become damage dealers, is Windwalker. To be effective with your DPS on this spec, it's vital to keep your Stance of the Fierce Tiger up, build Chi with your Jab and Expel Harm, and burn Chi with Tiger Palm, Blackout Kick, Rising Sun Kick, Fists of Fury.

Paladin. Seal of Truth is the seal to have on you at all time. Also, your Inquisition spell should be your main priority for spending Holy Power, you must keep it up at all time.

Death Knight. Frost spec is the best choice for a DPS DK. And as a Frost DK, you should keep your Diseases on your targets at all time. You can find HERE a nice sequence macro for applying diseases. Build Runic Power mainly with Obliterate, and whenever your runes are on cooldown, dump your Runic Power with Frost Strike.

Druid. As a Feral Cat Druid you should keep your Rip and Rake bleeds on your target all the time. Also, make sure you have your Savage Roar on, all the time for physical damage boost and slip in a Ferocious Bite every time you can, especially when your target is below 25%.

Warrior. Fury is the spec to go with as a DPS Warrior. And on this spec, your main ability is Bloodthirst, so use it every time is up. Also, use Colossus Smash every time is up. Heroic Strike, is also one of your attacks that deal nice damage, but it eats a lot of Rage, so you should never use it when under 50% Rage.
